How it Works
There are diversified portfolios available, with each constructed to match a desired risk level.
These portfolios have static allocations. This means that they will not be automatically adjusted to reduce risk as your beneficiary approaches enrollment. The account owner will be responsible for choosing the appropriate risk level for their beneficiary.
The Static Allocation options are offered with either active management or passive management.
Active management is typically more expensive but designed to try to outperform the portfolio’s benchmark return. Passive management is typically less expensive and is managed to track the portfolio’s benchmark return.
