The Education Plan® Hits the Road for Statewide Events Organization Launches “On the Road in New Mexico with TEP – The Education Plan”

The Education Plan®—New Mexico’s 529 direct sold education savings plans—is proud to announce its latest initiative to increase awareness throughout the state about the importance of education savings: On the Road with The Education Plan. The “On the Road” campaign focuses on the many benefits of 529 plans, their uses, and how they can help to alleviate the financial burden of future education costs.
People are discovering more ways a 529 plan can help with a wider range of educational expenses, including K-12 tuition, college, apprenticeships and trade schools, and even professional accreditation and continuing education classes.
“The mission of the Education Trust Board is to provide education on 529 plans,” said Natalie Cordova, Executive Director of the New Mexico Education Trust Board. “Our goal through the On the Road program is to travel to and reach people across the state, to answer questions for families and provide resources, and to set the next generation of New Mexicans up for future education and career success. As we make our way through communities across the state, we invite all to come out and take part in these events and learn how you can help brighten your or your child’s future with a 529 plan, like The Education Plan.”
The first leg of the campaign will launch on April 30 with three additional stops currently scheduled. A calendar of events is below:
- Clovis – April 30–May 1
- Farmington – May 22–24
- Grants – June 5–6
- More New Mexico stops to be announced
