The New Mexico Education Trust Board, the state agency that administers New Mexico’s 529 College Savings Program, announced the appointment of Natalie Cordova, CPA as Executive Director. Cordova brings a strong background in internal controls and external auditing and overall financial analysis to the position.

Santa Fe, NM – March 7, 2022 – The New Mexico Education Trust Board, the state agency that administers New Mexico’s 529 College Savings Program, announced the appointment of Natalie Cordova, CPA as Executive Director. Cordova brings a strong background in internal controls and external auditing and overall financial analysis to the position.

Prior to joining the New Mexico Education Trust Board, Cordova served as Deputy State Auditor at the Office of the State Auditor and had previously served in various positions in the office in the Audit Division. In addition to her work with the Office of the State Auditor, Cordova has served as Chief Financial Officer for the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General and the Public Employees Retirement Association. In 2019 she was the recipient of the Financial Manager of the Year and Outstanding Member in Government by the Association of Government Accountants and the New Mexico Society of CPAs, respectively.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting and Economics from New Mexico State University.
