A 529 plan can be used for four-year colleges and universities, vocational school, community college, some foreign institutions, and qualified kindergarten through 12th-grade tuition (Due to the passage of HB 342, which will be effective June 16, 2023, New Mexico will be in alignment with Section 529 of the IRC allowed uses.
