This "do-it-yourself" approach* allows you to choose any combination of portfolios available in the plan equaling 100%. Portfolios include Year of Enrollment, Static and Active Allocation, and Individual funds.
Eight allocation-based portfolios consisting of a mix of underlying funds are available and designed to match a desired risk level and investment management style.

Eleven Portfolios are available based on your beneficiary’s anticipated year of enrollment*. As the year of enrollment approaches, the underlying investments will automatically change to match the shortening time horizon and appropriate risk levels.
*Assuming enrollment at age 18. Depending on your beneficiary’s intended year of enrollment, you may want to consider a different investment approach.
