Open Your 529 Account Now!

The $500 award is in the form of a 529 education savings plan account with The Education Plan. All you need to do is complete the enrollment process and you are on your way toward funding your child's future college education.

When it's time to choose how you want to fund your account, you will be given multiple options. If you do not want to contribute to your account with an initial deposit, select “Check”. If you choose this option, you will not be required to send a check in, and no deposit or bank information is required to establish your account.

Please use the link above only to open an account for the recipient of the National Junior Honor Society award. If you wish to add additional beneficiaries, you can do so after you have set up your initial account and log back into your account.

Opening an Account:

You will need the following for the Account Owner (Parent/Guardian for the award recipient) and the Beneficiary (student/award recipient) in order to establish the account:

  • Beneficiary's Date of Birth
  • Beneficiary's Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • Your Social Security Number or TIN
  • U.S. Street address (not P.O. Box)
